I've been commissioned to write works for several choral groups, which have been a wonderful challenge in versatility and creativity, combined with practicality. I was also fortunate enough to be a finalist in the 2015 BBC Radio 3 Carol Competition - arranging 'can it be true?', which was performed by the BBC Singers.
As I work extensively with choirs myself, I understands the pressures on time and resources, as well as the need for occasional part adaptability. I try to make one of the key hallmarks of my work, that they feel great to sing, and create the maximum effect and depth, with the most sing-able vocal lines possible! My compositions have been toured and sung by choirs across the UK and much of Europe.
Another key feature in several of the compositions has been flexibility; composing in optional or switchable lines that can or can not use male voices, and alternate sets of lyrics which can serve for religious or otherwise venues. If you are interested in possibly making a commission, please see the 'commissioning a choral work' page. Other highlights include
